V1T0 — Paolo Sepic — came to voice tags the long way round. He started as a drummer in Rijeka, Croatia, spent a stretch working as a programmer and web designer, and then went into production properly, ending up a songwriter, engineer and vocalist rather than only one of them.That path matters more than it sounds. Because he mixes, he hears a tag as something that has to occupy a frequency range without fighting the kick, and because he writes, he hears it as a hook rather than a label. His work has connected him with Ronny J, 808 Mafia, Southside, Carnage and Ty Dolla $ign, which is a fair spread of producers who treat the drop as part of the arrangement.He records in English and Croatian, and takes the engineering side of the delivery seriously: a tag that only works in the session it was made in is not finished. What comes back is meant to sit in a mix somebody else built, on monitors he will never hear.
